Dr. Kassim earned an MBCHB from the College of Medicine at the University of Bagdad in 1976 and completed his DA in anaesthesia from the same university in 1981. After this time, Dr. Kassim completed his DA in anaesthesia and ICU from the College of Medicine London University in 1987 and his FFARCSI from the Royal College of Anesthetist Ireland in 1988. Since 2005, Dr. Kassim has been employed as a Senior Consultant of Anesthesia at Hamad Medical Corporation. Specifically he works within bariatric surgery and has been a hyper baric physician since 2012.
